Adventuring

 Recent Adventures

Stepping away from fashion content this time, letting you all in on a little bit of who I am and what I love! Doing a full-time Uni degree and another part-time degree free time is not something that I have much of. However me and my bestie have dedicated Mondays to adventuring (if we aren't being lazy). We have decided to visit as many locations within Northern Ireland as we can because it's crazy that we haven't seen at least half of the country we live in.

Kodak corner + slievemeen

This was our first location and definitely my favourite so far.
Kodak Corner is one of those places that captures the essence of the Mourne Mountains perfectly. It’s a well-known photography spot located near the foothills of the Mournes, earning its name because of the sheer beauty of the landscape. It’s still just as stunning now, whether you’re snapping on a smartphone or carrying a DSLR. However if i can make one reccomendation it would be to go on a clear day, we went in the fog and rain but it was still so much fun.
Together, Kodak Corner and Slievemeen make for a perfect day out, combining a slice of Northern Ireland’s natural beauty with a sense of timeless charm. Whether you’re a hiker, a photographer, or just someone who loves a good view, these spots won’t disappoint. It isn't a steep climb thankfully (and our fitness levels are NOT good) but still has very stunning views of the Mournes and Carlingford Lough.

Hidden village of Glenboly

A bit more local to home this time we explored Glenboly, The hidden village of Glenboly is one of those enchanting, almost mythical places in Northern Ireland that feels straight out of a storybook. Nestled somewhere in the landscape of County Down, near the Mourne Mountains, What remains today are ruins—stone walls overrun with moss, the faint outlines of cottages, and the occasional artefact unearthed by curious hikers. It’s a spot where nature has gently reclaimed its space, weaving the history of human settlement into the landscape. You won't find any signposts but if you just put Glenboly village into maps it will bring you to a little lay-by at the bottom of the walk. Once you reach some little thatched houses continue up the hill past the gate to find the most breathtaking views!
